Kerry Gauthier was raised in west Duluth and Morgan Park. Kerry graduated from Morgan Park High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of Saint Scholastica. He also received his Master of Science degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He has worked in the field of addiction and recovery for over 27 years.
Kerry has been involved in serving the community since he was a teen. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Good Fellowship Club and the Spirit Valley Youth Center. He also helped coordinate the Share Food Drive in Duluth during the 1980’s
He is currently a member of the Planned Parenthood Regional Advisory Committee. Kerry became involved in politics during high school and has been active in the Democratic Farmer Labor Party for over 37 years. He has served in various leadership positions in the DFL Party. He currently is a Minnesota State Representative.
